Miles Ranch to Host “An Afternoon at the Ranch”
Gather your friends and family and head to the Miles Ranch on Saturday, June 15, 2019, for a fun-filled afternoon of history. This educational event will provide the public an opportunity to step back in time and learn about life in the American West.
Grab a cookie and some lemonade beside the chuck wagon, and then head over to Nebraska’s oldest barn, where you will see a display of over 200 historic photographs depicting life in early Nebraska. After that, watch the blacksmith or timber framing demonstration. Snap a photo inside the stagecoach and enjoy the old-time fiddle music.
The event is open to the public and will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Historic Miles Ranch southwest of Dawson. The event, which celebrates our pioneering history, is a fundraiser for the Miles Ranch Foundation, whose mission is to preserve the history of the Miles Ranch and create a legacy of sustainability for future generations.
The Miles Ranch Foundation is a Nebraska non-profit corporation with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
There is no admission charge, but free will donations would be appreciated. Reservations are not required for this event.
